We are recruiting for a Product and Technology Development Engineer (m/f/d) for our Site in Heinsberg. Part of the work can be done remotely; business trips are required in parts. The role is a bridge between our customers and the internal production team and provides both a commercial evaluation, together with the sales team, and a technical translation of customer-specific requirements into production. Together with the team, you will ensure a holistic technical customer support from sampling to industrialization.
Your Accountabilities:
- You develop innovative resin formulations into the Mitsubishi Chemical product portfolio
- You configure and optimize our manufacturing processes, develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production performance
- You will accompany the entire process from the start, the set-up and certification of our products
- You coordinate the sample production with the application engineering and sales team
- You will perform risk assessments and process simulations
- You identify and implement new raw materials and have an eye for new trends and developments on the market
- You will assist with all technical customer support issues and processes
- You will provide process documentation and operating instructions
Your Profile:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as industrial engineering, or comparable education
- You should have at least 5 years of experience in this or a comparable profession in an industrial production environment, preferably in fiber composites business and / or resin chemistry
- You have several years of experience in project and process management, and have a high level of customer and market orientation
- Ideally, you have knowledge of the product properties and production processes in the field of fiber composites / resin chemistry
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills
- You feel confident in using common MS Office software and already have experience with an ERP system and project management software
- You should have fluent written and verbal skills in German and English - additional languages would be a plus
